Kimberley Peters is a Professor and Head of Marine Governance at the Helmholtz Institute for Functional Marine Biodiversity (HIFMB) at the University of Oldenburg, Germany. Her work focuses on ocean governance, political geography, and maritime mobilities, with a particular interest in how spatial and infrastructural dimensions influence marine management. She holds a PhD in Human Geography from Royal Holloway, University of London, and has held academic positions at the University of Liverpool, Aberystwyth University, and the University of Sheffield.
