Kimberley Kinsley is a Senior Lecturer in the College of Business at the University of Mary Washington. She holds a B.S. in Business Management (University of Maryland, 1983), M.A. in International Politics and Economics (University of Detroit, 1987), and J.D. (University of Detroit, 1987). Her teaching includes Business Law, Cybersecurity Law, and Sports Law, with a focus on technology, privacy, and constitutional law.

Kinsley's research centers on International Law, Inequality Studies, and ESG Regulation. She has published on topics like automobile safety recalls and privacy/data law, and co-edited Inequality in America: Causes and Consequences, which won the 2022 IPPY Bronze Award and 2021 Library Journal Best Reference Award. Her work also explores corporate ethics and regulatory frameworks for greenwashing.

Kinsley brings extensive practical legal experience to her academic role, having practiced law for 15 years as a Judge Advocate, public defender, in-house counsel, and solo practitioner. Her leadership includes serving as session chair for the Association for Business Communication's Southwestern conference and peer-reviewing for a business case journal.
