Dr Kim Wilson is a Senior Lecturer in History Education and Director of Programs in the MQ Academy at Macquarie University. Her work focuses on mid-career transitions to teaching, teacher retention strategies, equity in higher education, and critical thinking pedagogies. She leads initiatives such as the Accelerate MTeach Program, which supports STEM professionals entering teaching, and co-developed the INSITE mentoring framework for mid-career professionals.
Wilson’s research spans historical literacy, flipped learning interventions, and practitioner inquiry models. She has published extensively on topics like BYOD classroom integration, museum pedagogies, and recognition of prior learning (RPL) frameworks. Her leadership roles include directing MQ Academy programs and collaborating with institutions like the NSW Equity Consortium to address educational access challenges.
