Kim W. Benner, PharmD, is a Professor at Samford University's McWhorter School of Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmacy Practice, concurrently serving as a Pediatric Clinical Specialist at Children's Hospital of Alabama. With over 25 years of clinical experience spanning pediatric intensive care, general pediatrics, and pulmonary medicine, she maintains an active practice while teaching across the pharmacy curriculum.
Education: PharmD and BS in Pharmacy from Samford University; BS in Biology/Chemistry from University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Research Focus: Dr. Benner's scholarship centers on pediatric pharmacotherapy, particularly cystic fibrosis management, pulmonary hypertension, infectious diseases, and pharmacy education methodologies. Her work emphasizes evidence-based treatment protocols and educational outcomes.
