Kim Driscoll

Kim Driscoll is a Violin Tutor at the Guildhall Young Artists Taunton, part of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She specializes in teaching violin with a focus on technical proficiency and performance skills. Her career spans over two decades, combining performance with educational outreach.

Education: Kim studied violin at Trinity College of Music, London under Esta Boda-Katona. During her studies, she performed with the Young Musician’s Symphony Orchestra across Europe and toured with The British Youth Opera.

Professional Experience: After graduating, Kim established a Music Centre for the Forces in Rheindahlen, Germany, serving over 110 children. Returning to Somerset in 1995, she has performed with South West ensembles and freelanced across genres, while maintaining a teaching practice in Taunton and Minehead schools.

Teaching Philosophy: Emphasizes fostering student potential through friendly, supportive instruction. She prioritizes technique and performance confidence to help pupils achieve their goals.
