Kim Childs, DMA, is a Professor of Choral Studies and Voice at the Department of Music within the College of Arts & Sciences at The University of Tulsa. He directs the Cappella Chamber Singers and Concert Chorale, teaches courses in choral conducting, literature, and private voice instruction, and maintains an active professional career as a tenor in Tulsa's choral community.

As a tenor, Childs performs regionally with ensembles like the Tulsa Chorale and St. John’s Episcopal Church, while also serving as director of music at College Hill Presbyterian Church in Tulsa, OK. His expertise focuses on choral pedagogy and vocal performance.
Scientific recognition includes multiple Oklahoma Music Educators Association Honor Choir awards (2025, 2015, 2010), the Carnegie Hall debut (spring 2010), and his leadership role as Interim Artistic Director of Tulsa Chorale (2022-23).
