معرفی
Kim Boutilier is an EPS Senior Researcher at BIOS Plant Development Systems, part of Wageningen University & Research. Their research focuses on plant embryogenesis, particularly in Arabidopsis and Brassica species, with emphasis on microspore embryogenesis, cell fate regulation, and auxin signaling. They lead projects exploring haploid induction mechanisms and somatic embryogenesis.
Key projects include investigating novel genes for parthenogenesis in soybean (2025–2028), maternal haploid induction (2025–2026), and single-cell analyses of microspore embryogenesis (2024–present). Co-promoting PhD candidates M. Vos and C. Darmawan in plant development studies.
Publishes extensively on embryogenesis mechanisms, with recent works in Plant Journal, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Plant Physiology. Datasets include genomic sequencing of haploid Arabidopsis and transcriptomic analyses of microspore embryogenesis.
