Kidong Park

Kidong Park is Mark & Carolyn Guidry Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Louisiana State University's College of Engineering. He directs the Micro-scaled Biomedical Device Laboratory, focusing on BioMEMS, microfluidics, and cellular biomechanics.

Research: Primary areas include: 1) Large-scale cell culture platforms for biopharmaceutical production and stem cell therapy (e.g., rolled scaffolds and hollow microcarriers); 2) Biomechanical characterization of adherent cells using optomechanical techniques and ultrathin cantilevers for cancer diagnostics and mechanobiology studies.
