Khaleda Gani Dutt is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Special Education, Stockholm University, where she lectures in advanced courses on Inclusive Education and Special Education programs with a focus on inclusion and gender equality from international and comparative perspectives.
Her educational background includes:
- Doctoral studies in International and Comparative Education at the Department of Education, Stockholm University
- Master's Degree in International and Comparative Education from the Institute of International Education (IIE)
- Master's Degree in History from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India
Khaleda's research focuses on inclusive education, special education, and international comparative education, with particular emphasis on gender equality and literacy for rural women as a critical factor to break intergenerational poverty. Her work bridges theory, policy, and pedagogy in the context of global educational issues. She has ongoing collaboration with the Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy (IICP) in Kolkata, India, which resulted in the conference "Bridging the Gaps- Moving Towards Greater Inclusion" organized in November 2022 - the first time the Department of Special Education, Stockholm University coordinated and organized a conference in India.
