Khaled A. Bahjri, MD, MPH, is a Professor in both the School of Pharmacy (Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences) and the School of Public Health at Loma Linda University. He holds dual academic roles, teaching courses such as Pharmaceutical Calculations, Epidemiology, and Biostatistics to pharmacy students. His research focuses on public health, epidemiology, and biostatistics, with a particular emphasis on clinical research and healthcare administration.
Bahjri earned his B.S. in Biology from the University of Tennessee, his MD from Our Lady of Fatima University, and his MPH and Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) from Loma Linda University. He previously served in the LLU School of Public Health for 16 years before joining the School of Pharmacy in 2018. He has directed the Research Consulting Group and provides statistical support across departments.
His research spans diverse areas, including non-pharmacological interventions for neonatal pain, plant-based diets and cancer risk, and quality-of-life improvements post-cancer treatment. He has been involved in numerous grants funded by NIH, including studies on pain management in preterm neonates and the impact of dietary interventions.
Bahjri has held leadership roles in academic committees, such as chairing the Assessment Committee and serving on the Promotion and Tenure Committee. His professional development includes certifications in Microsoft Visual Basic for Access.
