Dr. Kezia Gaitskell is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Oxford's Nuffield Division of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and a Locum Consultant in Histopathology at Oxford University Hospitals. She holds the qualifications BM BCh MA (Oxon) MSc DPhil FRCPath.
Education includes:
- Medical degree from Oxford University (2008, distinction)
- MSc in Epidemiology from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (distinction)
- DPhil in Population Health from Oxford University Cancer Epidemiology Unit
Her research focuses on the integration of epidemiology and histopathology to investigate:
- Cancer risk factors and their variation by histological subtypes
- Ovarian cancer epidemiology and tumor biology
- Population health approaches to cancer etiology and survival
- Computational pathology and molecular trait prediction
Publication analysis reveals predominant focus on cancer epidemiology (76%), particularly ovarian cancer (38%), with methodological emphasis on large cohort studies (UK Biobank, Million Women Study). Recent work shows growing interest in computational pathology and digital histopathology integration.
Grant support includes Cancer Research UK (DPhil funding) and NIHR (Academic Clinical Lectureship). She collaborates extensively with the Nuffield Department of Population Health.
