Professor Keyoumars Ashkan is a Professor of Neurosurgery at King's College London, serving as Lead Clinician for Neuro-Oncology and Chair of the King’s Neurosciences Clinical Trial Unit. He holds multiple leadership roles including Deputy Lead for Neurosciences Research Advisory Group, President of the British Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, and Lead for Genomics England’s brain tumour programme.
His research focuses on functional neurosurgery, image-guided surgery, and innovative treatments for brain tumours and Parkinson’s disease. Key areas include deep brain stimulation mechanisms, clinical trials for glioblastoma therapies, and genomic studies in neuro-oncology.
