Kevin Trumble

Kevin Trumble is a Professor of Materials Engineering at Purdue University, specializing in microstructure development and deformation processing. He holds a B.S.E. and M.S.E. from the University of Michigan (1985) and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara (1990). He completed a Humboldt Fellowship at the Max-Planck-Institut in Stuttgart (1990-91). His research focuses on solidification defects in casting, high-strain deformation via machining, and colloidal processing of ceramics. He leads the Purdue Center for Metal Casting Research and teaches courses such as MSE 230, MSE 240, and MSE 597S.
