His scholarship analyzes critical humanism in teacher-student-community solidarity, structural power dynamics of race/gender/sexuality as class constructs, and hegemonic educational systems. He demonstrates how historical interpretations function within ideological state apparatuses to perpetuate dominant perspectives.
