Key awards include NIHR Senior Investigator status and Principal Fellow of the British Society of Audiology. He advises international bodies like the NICE Centre for Guidelines and Australian National Acoustic Laboratories. Teaching responsibilities include supervising postgraduate research and contributing to advanced audiology modules.
Major projects include NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre’s Hearing Health Theme and initiatives on noise exposure impacts, telehealth tools, and cultural competence in audiology services for Deaf sign language users. His work emphasizes translating research into clinical practice and policy advocacy to address global hearing health inequities.
