Kevin Kritsch serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of English and Foreign Languages within McNeese State University's College of Liberal Arts. He holds dual administrative roles as Program Coordinator for the BA in English and Academic Advisor to Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honors Society. Dr. Kritsch earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, followed by a Master of Arts in Scandinavian from Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. He completed both his Master of Arts and PhD in English at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, establishing his foundation in linguistic and literary studies.
His academic expertise spans British literary traditions from foundational periods through the 19th century, with specialized focus on the historical evolution of the English language. Complementing this, his Scandinavian MA informs research in Germanic and Nordic linguistic traditions, reflected in his teaching of German language courses alongside core English curriculum.
As Program Coordinator, he oversees the BA in English curriculum structure and requirements, while his Sigma Tau Delta advisory role involves mentoring high-achieving undergraduate students in scholarly activities and honors projects. His course portfolio includes Survey of British Literature I, History of the English Language, Research Practicum in English, and Introductory German sequences.
