- Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Linguistic Anthropology from Tulane University
Dr. Allen's research focuses on linguistic anthropology, particularly the Ursuline obituary circular tradition in Old and New France, collaborative language documentation methodologies, lexicological software development, and religious education among indigenous communities. His international teaching experience spans language documentation and endangerment seminars across the United States, France, and the Philippines.
He teaches diverse courses including French Language and Culture, The Ursuline Obituary Circular Tradition, Advanced English Syntax, Archival Research, and Perspectives and Methods in Linguistic Anthropology.
