Kevin Kokomoor is a Lecturer in the History Department at Coastal Carolina University, specializing in Native American History and Early American Studies. His work focuses on the Southeastern United States, particularly the Creek and Seminole Nations, frontiers and borderlands, and environmental history.

His research spans the colonial and early American Southeast, emphasizing Native-settler interactions, political transformations, and cultural exchanges. Current projects include a study of post-Revolutionary violence and its role in shaping Federalism.
Kevin’s publications explore Creek political structures, frontier conflicts, and the environmental history of Florida. His 2019 monograph examines Creek Nation governance, while his 2023 book investigates Spanish colonial legacies in La Florida.
