Kevin J. Johnson is a Professor in the Department of Management at HEC Montréal. He holds additional roles as Director of the MBA Program, Director of the Research Center on Organizational Transformation, and Researcher at the ESSEC Chair of Change Management. His expertise spans Organizational Transformation, Change Management, and Organizational Behavior. Johnson earned his M. Sc. in Psychology from Université de Montréal and his Ph.D. in Management from HEC Montréal.
His research focuses on team readiness for change, psychological safety, and leadership dynamics in organizational transformations. Notably, he was awarded the Rupert F. Chisholm Best Theory-to-Practice Paper Award in 2024 for bridging theoretical insights with practical applications. He supervises numerous students, including PhD candidate Patrick Groulx and nine MSc thesis authors.
Teaching responsibilities include courses like *Changement Organisationnel: Pratiques et Outils* and *Turbulence, changement et transformation organisationnelle*. His work integrates neuroscientific approaches to collaboration and addresses challenges in healthcare and municipal management through student-led consulting projects.
