Kevin Gingerich is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at York University's Lassonde School of Engineering. His research focuses on transportation network modelling, freight transportation, GIS spatial analysis, and discrete choice modelling. He holds a PhD from the University of Windsor, supported by an NSERC PGS-D scholarship, and has conducted work at the Cross-Border Institute analyzing Canada-U.S. trade via truck data. His research has been published in journals such as Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Technologies, Journal of Transport Geography, and Transportation Research Record. He collaborates with organizations including Transport Canada, MTO, and Union Gas. Gingerich is actively involved in teaching at York University, emphasizing emerging technologies and sustainable transportation planning.
