Kevin Galvin

Laureate Professor Kevin Galvin is a leading chemical engineer at the University of Newcastle's School of Engineering. His research focuses on mineral processing, fluidization, and separation technologies, particularly the Reflux Classifier, which revolutionized particle separation in the mining industry. He holds positions as Director of the Centre for Critical Minerals and Urban Mining and the ARC Industrial Transformation Research Hub for Advanced Technologies for Australian Iron Ore.

His career spans over three decades, including roles at BHP Research and Imperial College.
