Kevin Escudero is an Assistant Professor at Brown University, holding a joint appointment in the Department of American Studies and Ethnic Studies and an affiliation with the Sociology Department. His work focuses on race, ethnicity, immigration, and social movements, particularly among immigrant communities in the U.S. He leads the Immigrant Student Research Project (ISRP) Lab, supported by an NSF CAREER Award, which explores the experiences of immigrant graduate students in higher education and the workforce.
His research employs a community-engaged approach to address systemic barriers in education and advocate for equity. Key outputs include his book Organizing While Undocumented (2020), analyzing Latinx and Asian undocumented youth movements. His affiliations include the Annenberg Institute, emphasizing institutional roles in social mobility for marginalized groups.
