Dr. Kevin Doolin is Executive Director at the Walton Institute for Information and Communications Systems Science, part of South East Technological University (SETU), where he oversees applied and commercial research activities. He plays a central role in driving EU research participation, proposal development, and commercialization across research units.

Kevin’s research focuses on Pervasive Computing, the foundation of the Internet of Things (IoT), with applications in smart agriculture, interoperability, and digital platforms. Recent publications emphasize digital agri-food systems, supply chain interoperability, and the twin green-digital transition in agriculture.
His most recent articles reflect a strong trend toward applying computing technologies to agricultural sustainability, with emphasis on interoperability architectures, farmer adoption of smart technologies, and secure digital systems.
