Kevin Burns

Dr. Kevin Burns serves as the Associate Director of the Transplant Immunology and Histocompatibility Laboratory at UT Southwestern Medical Center since August 2024. He holds a BS in Clinical Laboratory Science from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and an MD from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. His expertise spans Clinical Pathology, Transfusion Medicine, and Transplant Immunology. Dr. Burns completed his Clinical Pathology Residency and specialized fellowships in Transfusion Medicine and Transplant Immunology/Histocompatibility at Houston Methodist Hospital. He is board-certified by the American Board of Pathology and the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics.
