Kevin Burke

Dr. Kevin R. Burke serves as an Associate Professor in the Music Program at Florida Institute of Technology under the College of Psychology and Liberal Arts. Specializing in early nineteenth-century German-language opera criticism, he maintains the most extensive database of German opera reviews (1798-1830) from his Fulbright research. His pedagogical innovations bridge music history with gamification through the Reacting to the Past framework, winning the Helen T. Ehlers Award for his dissertation.
