Kevin Bundy

Kevin Bundy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), and is also affiliated with UC Observatories. His research centers on observational astronomy, focusing on galaxy formation and evolution through large-scale surveys and advanced instrumentation.

Key Projects:

• MaNGA Survey: Principal Investigator of the Mapping Nearby Galaxies at Apache Point Observatory survey, part of SDSS-IV, achieving resolved spectroscopy of 10,000 galaxies.
• Keck-FOBOS: Leading the development of the Keck-FOBOS instrument for future spectroscopic surveys.
• S82MGC: Creator of the Stripe 82 Massive Galaxy Catalog, the largest-volume mass-complete sample beyond z > 0.1.
