His educational background includes:
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin (2017)
- B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky (2011)
Dr. Baldridge specializes in translating complex chemical engineering concepts for non-engineering students, with research interests spanning bourbon production processes, distillation engineering, and the economic aspects of spirits manufacturing. His work bridges academic theory with practical applications in an industry contributing over nine billion dollars annually to Kentucky's economy.
As an educator, he focuses on making material and energy balances accessible through bourbon production contexts, preparing students to understand design decisions and problem-solving in distillery operations. His course is scheduled for Summer 2024 and Summer 2025, reflecting its established place in the curriculum.
