Kevin A. Schulman is a Professor of Medicine at Stanford University's School of Medicine, with courtesy appointments in Operations, Information & Technology at the Graduate School of Business, and Health Policy. He serves as Interim Division Co-Chief of Hospital Medicine, Associate Chair of the Department of Medicine, Faculty Director of the Master of Science in Clinical Informatics Management program, and Deputy Director of the Clinical Excellence Research Center (CERC). His research focuses on health economics, health services research, and the intersection of business, medicine, and technology. He has over 500 publications, including in top journals like the New England Journal of Medicine and JAMA. His work addresses healthcare administrative costs, drug pricing, digital health strategies, and healthcare policy.
Education: Dartmouth College, NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and The Wharton Health Care Management Program.
Research interests include healthcare cost containment, pharmaceutical market dynamics, AI in healthcare, and health system innovation. Recent articles highlight administrative cost crises, international drug pricing frameworks, and AI-driven diabetes management. Awards include membership in ASCI and AAP.
