Keti Chukhrov

Dr. Keti Chukhrov is an academic and artist currently serving as the Acting Professor for Art Education and Aesthetics in the Department of Art and Art History-Aesthetics at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart since 2025. Prior to this, she held visiting professorships at Linköping University (2023–2024) and the Karlsruhe University of Art and Design (2022–2025). She was a Professor at the School of Philosophy & Cultural Studies at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow until November 2022 and a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow at the University of Wolverhampton (2017–2019).

She integrates critical theory with artistic practice to analyze socio-political-economic frameworks through aesthetic production.

Chukhrov's publications and film works reflect her interdisciplinary focus. Key works include the book Practicing the Good (2020), which examines socialist political economy's impact on epistemic systems, and films like Undead (2022) and Communion (2016) shown at major international festivals. Her scholarship often bridges theoretical analysis with experimental media.
