Keshawa Shukla serves as a Professor of Practice in Multidisciplinary Engineering within the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University. His office is located in HRBB 322C, and he can be contacted via email at kpshukla@tamu.edu or by phone at (979) 862-2553.
Dr. Shukla earned his educational degrees from Banaras Hindu University, including a Bachelor of Science (1971), Master of Science in Chemical Engineering/Thermodynamics (1974), and Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering/Thermodynamics (1979).
His research focuses on critical energy production challenges, with expertise spanning flow assurance, production chemistry, and subsea engineering systems. Key areas include paraffin/wax deposition management, multiphase flow dynamics, thermal modeling for subsea pipelines, and emerging applications in offshore wind, green hydrogen production, carbon capture, and AI-driven digital transformation in energy operations. His work bridges theoretical thermodynamics with practical engineering solutions for both conventional hydrocarbon and renewable energy sectors.
Analysis of his 2014-2022 publications reveals consistent innovation in thermal modeling for insulated subsea flowlines (particularly for waxy crude oils), flow assurance optimization, and machine learning applications in hydrogen production systems. His research demonstrates strong integration of computational methods with field engineering challenges across deepwater production environments.
Dr. Shukla maintains extensive professional engagement through memberships in key industry organizations:
- Member of Editorial Board, Current Physical Chemistry Journal
- Vice Chairman, Society for Underwater Technology-Subsea Engineering and Operations (Atlantic/Europe region)
- Member, Society of Underwater Technology (U.S.)
