Keshav Shrestha

Dr. Keshav Shrestha is an Assistant Professor of Physics at West Texas A&M University, affiliated with the Paul Engler College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences and the Department of Chemistry and Physics. He received his bachelor's and master’s degrees in solid-state physics from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, followed by a postgraduate diploma in condensed matter physics at the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Italy, and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Houston (2015).

Dr. Shrestha's research focuses on experimental condensed matter physics, particularly superconductivity, magnetism, and topological phases of materials under extreme conditions (low temperature, high pressure, high magnetic fields). He collaborates with institutions like the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Idaho National Laboratory, and the Texas Center for Superconductivity.

His recent work includes studies on topological materials (e.g., Sb₂Te₂₋ₓSeₓ, LuV₆Sn₆) and iron-based superconductors (EuₓCa₁₋ₓFe₂As₂), leveraging advanced facilities at national laboratories and computational modeling. He teaches algebra- and calculus-based physics courses and actively reviews for journals such as Physical Review Letters and the Journal of Applied Physics.
