Professor Kerryn Butler-Henderson is the Head of the School of Nursing, Paramedicine and Healthcare Sciences at Charles Sturt University (CSU). A globally recognized leader in digital health and education, she specializes in digital health workforce capabilities and pedagogical innovation. With over $9M in research funding, her work includes the Global Specialist Digital Health Workforce Census and the Global Atlas of Literacies for Health (GALH), part of the Horizon Europe-funded IDEAHL consortium.
Her research focuses on digital health transformation, healthcare leadership, and the integration of technology in health education. She co-leads ISSoTL's Scholarship of Leading group and serves as Editor for the Journal of Applied Learning and Teaching and Deputy Editor of BMJ Health and Care Informatics. Recognized as a 2021 HIMSS Future50 Leader and 2022 Telstra Health Brilliant Woman, she advocates for gender equity in academia and compassionate leadership.
Key achievements include over 200 research outputs, leadership in international health informatics initiatives, and pioneering work on digital health literacy frameworks.
