Kerry Mallini serves as an Associate Professor of Physical Therapy and Director of Curriculum for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program (DPT-MN) within the School of Health Professions. She is a board-certified neurologic specialist (NCS) with extensive clinical experience in outpatient and home health settings, focusing on patients with neurologic and vestibular disorders.
Her educational background includes:
- B.S. in Psychology from Furman University
- M.P.T. (Master of Physical Therapy) from the University of Florida
- Ed.D. in Educational Leadership Studies from the University of Kentucky
Dr. Mallini's research centers on advancing physical therapy education through innovative teaching methodologies, with specific emphasis on leadership development and improving functional recovery and quality of life for neurologic injury patients. Her scholarly work spans evidence-based practice, clinical neuroscience, and neuromuscular rehabilitation, presented at regional, national, and international conferences.
As an educator, she teaches evidence-based practice, professional competencies, clinical neuroscience, neuromuscular practice, and innovation & entrepreneurship, fostering student engagement through creative pedagogical approaches.
