Ethan Hood

Ethan Hood, PT, DPT, MBA, NCS, GCS, is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at DeSales University's College of Healthcare Professions. With over 20 years of clinical experience, he specializes in outpatient neurology, focusing on balance, fall prevention, and concussion management. He holds dual board certifications in Neurologic and Geriatric Clinical Specialization from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS).

• Education: BHS and MPT from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia; MBA from Pennsylvania State University; tDPT from Temple University
• Clinical Expertise: Acute care, sub-acute rehabilitation, outpatient orthopedics, and neurology

Dr. Hood’s research explores vestibular system plasticity and sports-related concussion rehabilitation. He has delivered continuing education courses nationally on dizziness, balance, and fall risk, including the relationship between gait speed and falls. His teaching focuses on Differential Diagnosis-Adult Neuro, Pharmacology, and Special Topics in Physical Therapy. He has served as a regional director in healthcare management and consults on vestibular program development.
