Kerry Bodle

Professor Kerry Bodle is a leading academic at Griffith University, serving as the inaugural Academic Director (Indigenous) for the Griffith Business School (GBS). She holds a Professorial appointment in the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics and is affiliated with the Griffith Asia Institute. Her career spans over two decades, with a focus on embedding Indigenous knowledge into business education, curriculum development, and fostering Indigenous economic empowerment. She earned her PhD from Griffith University in 2013, following earlier degrees including a Bachelor of Business and Honours in Commerce.

Research & Education: Dr. Bodle’s research addresses Indigenous business failure, financial literacy, and sustainable enterprise. She pioneered transformative curriculum reforms, integrating Indigenous history and culture into business programs, including the Bachelor of Business and MBA courses. Her work emphasizes culturally competent pedagogy, using storytelling and co-design approaches.
