Kerri Lee Chintersingh is an Assistant Professor in the Otto H. York Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). Her research focuses on energetic materials, catalysts, materials surface engineering, and the application of machine learning in analyzing materials behavior under extreme conditions. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from NJIT (2019) and a B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Technology, Jamaica (2013). Prior to her academic role, she worked as a Process Control Engineer.

Research Interests: Her work emphasizes optimizing materials for extreme environments, including designing composites with tailored microstructures and leveraging AI/ML for predictive analysis. Recent projects include studying intermetallic phase amorphization in high-entropy alloys and combustion characteristics of boron-based composites. She explores catalysts to enhance ignition efficiency and employs advanced imaging techniques like X-ray phase contrast imaging for material characterization.
Publications: Her articles span combustion kinetics, materials synthesis, and catalytic effects, reflecting a focus on advancing energy systems and material resilience. Notable themes include boron oxidation mechanisms and composite powder behavior under thermal stress.
