Kerri Borton

Kerri Borton is an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at Charleston Southern University (CSU), joining in March 2023. Her clinical expertise spans neurologic and cardiopulmonary patient populations, with a focus on acute rehabilitation instruction since 2014.

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, University of Michigan–Flint
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), University of Michigan–Flint

Research interests include neurological rehabilitation, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, and clinical education. She is preparing to become a Board-Certified Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Clinical Specialist (examination expected March 2024).

Philosophy:

• Integrates Christian faith into her academic and clinical work, emphasizing restoring God's creation through physical therapy

Currently practices in inpatient rehabilitation settings, balancing clinical work with teaching responsibilities.
