Shweta Gore

Shweta Gore, PhD, DPT, GCS, is an Associate Professor of Physical Therapy and Director of Academic Curriculum at the MGH Institute of Health Professions (IHP). She holds certifications in Geriatric Physical Therapy (GCS) and has over 10 years of clinical expertise in cardiovascular/pulmonary therapy and geriatrics. Her research focuses on physical activity’s impact on health outcomes in chronic disease populations, leveraging electronic health records and survey data.

Dr. Gore earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Physiotherapy from MGM Medical College and Manipal University (India), followed by a DPT and PhD from the University of Michigan-Flint. She is affiliated with the PACE Lab and actively contributes to academic mentoring through virtual peer and faculty programs. Notable awards include the ACAPT Innovation in Teaching Award (2022) and IHP’s New Investigator Award (2021).

Her scholarly work emphasizes mobility promotion, cognitive-physical health linkages in COPD, and disparities in cardiac rehabilitation access. She regularly presents at national conferences such as the American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting and the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.
