Keri Gonzalez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Utah since Fall 2024. She has previously served as a Teaching Assistant and Associate Instructor at the same institution, contributing to curriculum development and teacher training through roles such as State Spanish Bridge Program Coordinator and Director of Curriculum.

Her research focuses on Mexican literature and cinema, U.S.-Mexican border studies, and transborder cultural expressions. She examines identity, migration, and border dynamics through interdisciplinary approaches, emphasizing gender representation and cultural hybridity in literary and filmic texts.
Teaching interests include advanced Spanish grammar, Latin American literature, and courses exploring Mexican identity, migration, and cultural hybridity. She has taught at undergraduate and honors levels, integrating critical thinking through textual analysis and interdisciplinary methodologies in language instruction.
