Keran Zhao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Supply Chain & Information Systems at the Smeal College of Business, Pennsylvania State University. Previously, he held the same position at the Bauer College of Business, University of Houston. His research focuses on digital platforms, artificial intelligence, live streaming, healthcare informatics, and blockchain technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Management of Information Systems from the University of Illinois at Chicago (2021) and an M.S. in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh (2016).
Dr. Zhao’s research explores how machine learning and econometrics can improve platform design and user behavior analysis, particularly in live streaming communities and healthcare systems. He investigates topics like generative AI’s dual impact on knowledge exchange, minority influencer effects on consumer behavior, and tokenization strategies for brand marketing.
