معرفی
Dr. Kenneth Anyomi is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Redeemer University, joining in 2023. He holds a Ph.D. (2013) in Forest Science from Laval University, an M.Sc. (2008) in Forest Ecology from Freiburg University, and a B.Sc. (2005) in Natural Resources Management from the University of Science and Technology, Ghana. His research focuses on ecological succession, disturbance ecology, and climate change impacts on forest systems. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Institute of Forestry Research, University of Quebec in Abitibi-Temiscamingue (IRF-UQT).
Dr. Anyomi’s work emphasizes hands-on learning, leveraging Redeemer’s small class sizes to enhance field and lab experiences. His faith integration in academia is notable, emphasizing that prioritizing faith enhances academic and personal growth. He has held roles at the Ontario Public Service and conducted postdoctoral research at institutions like UBC and Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
Key research areas include vegetation transitions, forest management, and disturbance dynamics. Ongoing projects involve cumulative disturbance impacts, deer and invasive species effects, and curating windthrow data across eastern Canada. Awards include the NEON-ESA Early Career Scholar and Sigma Xi nominations.
