Dr. Kendra Homan serves as Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Pediatric Pain Psychologist at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Medical Center, where she directs the FIRST program—an inpatient chronic pain rehabilitation service for functionally disabled children and adolescents with complex pain conditions.
Her educational background includes:
- Bachelor's degree from Briar Cliff University (2007)
- Master's degree from Minnesota State University (2009)
- Ph.D. from Utah State University (2015)
- Fellowship at Mayo Clinic
Dr. Homan specializes in pediatric pain intervention with expertise in intensive interdisciplinary pain treatment and chronic pain-eating disorder comorbidities. Her research examines psychosocial functioning in pain treatment, treatment outcome predictors, parenting practices, and disordered eating impacts on pediatric pain patients.
Her scientific recognition includes:

As an educator, she trains medical and psychology residents while leading grant-funded research producing 26 peer-reviewed publications.
