Kendall Gray serves as Clinical Professor of Law at Duke University School of Law, where he has taught since 2019. He is a core member of the Legal Writing Faculty and teaches foundational courses including Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing (160AB), Legal Writing: Craft & Style (201), and Ethics in Action: Large Law Firm Practice (231).
His expertise spans Appellate Law, Health Law, and Complex Commercial Litigation, with deep specialization in ERISA preemption, managed care disputes, and energy sector litigation. Prior to academia, Gray practiced for 22 years at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP where he argued before the Fifth Circuit, Ninth Circuit, and Texas Supreme Court.
