Ken Usher

Ken Usher is a Professor at Oregon Tech's School of Natural Sciences, where he has taught since Fall 2000. He specializes in biochemistry and clinical pharmacology, advising students in the Biology-Health Sciences (BHS) program and mentoring them in undergraduate research projects focused on molecular genetics, environmental microbiology, and biomedical applications.

Dr. Usher emphasizes applied learning, helping students connect biochemistry to medical practice. He has also co-founded a computer software consulting business and actively participates in outdoor activities like mountaineering and cycling, including wilderness treks in Arctic Canada.
