Dr. Ken Sloan is an Associate Professor at Marist College's School of Management. He teaches MBA/MPA courses like 21st Century Management and undergraduate HR Analytics/Compensation. His research focuses on experiential learning, pension design, and healthcare policy. He advises small/mid-sized businesses through the Mid-Hudson Valley wage survey and serves as an executive coach for the Princeton Management Development Institute.
Educational background includes a BA in Psychology, MBA, MPA, and an EdD in HR & Organization Development from George Washington University. Prior to academia, he spent 20 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb as Senior Vice President & Chief HR Officer for the Worldwide Pharmaceutical Group.
Selected publications address ethical HR obligations and pension plan CSR. He presented at conferences on topics like managerial experiential learning and intellectual capital management. Honored as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Sigma Beta Delta honor societies.
Led the Council of Industrial Organizations' regional wage survey annually since 2003. His career bridges corporate HR leadership and academic research in HR strategy, with emphasis on practical organizational applications.
