Kelton W McMahon

Kelton W McMahon is an Associate Professor in Biological Oceanography at the University of Rhode Island's Graduate School of Oceanography (URI-GSO). His research focuses on marine ecosystems, isotope ecology, and biogeochemical cycles, with an emphasis on food web architecture and climate change impacts. He teaches courses in ocean sciences and environmental isotope geochemistry.

Awards and honors include the NSF MRI grant for isotope instrumentation. The lab actively promotes Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) in STEM through anti-racist and decolonized science practices.
