Kelsey Penix is an Assistant Professor of Counseling at Spring Arbor University. She holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of the Cumberlands, a graduate certificate in Play Therapy from the University of Wyoming, an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Spring Arbor University, and a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan-Flint.
Her professional journey spans teaching, school counseling, private practice, and group practice, driven by a commitment to addressing mental health needs through a Christ-centered framework. She specializes in training future counselors while maintaining flexibility as a military spouse.
