Kelly Velker is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Spring Arbor University (SAU). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan (2007) and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from SAU (2022). Her career includes clinical experience in ICU and step-down units, specialized training in continuous renal replacement therapy (Prismaflex machine), and adjunct teaching roles. She currently teaches medical-surgical nursing and oversees clinical laboratories.
Professional interests focus on nursing education methodologies, critical care practices, and renal therapy protocols. She emphasizes integrating faith-based perspectives into nursing education, as reflected in her commitment to SAU's Christian mission. Beyond academia, she actively serves on the Board of Directors at Jackson Christian School and participates in worship leadership at JaxNaz church.
