Kelly Varga

Kelly Varga is an Associate Professor in the Department of Natural Sciences at the University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas), where she has been a faculty member since fall 2015. Her academic work bridges research and education, emphasizing collaborative student engagement in scientific discovery and community service.

Dr. Varga’s research focuses on calcium signaling during vesicle recycling at neuronal synapses, a critical process for proper brain function. Prior to her academic career, she gained two years of experience in a Human Genomics Lab, which informs her interdisciplinary approach to biology education and outreach.
