Kelly Johnston is an Adjunct Research Fellow at the Macquarie School of Education, Macquarie University, and concurrently holds a Senior Lecturer position at Southern Cross University (since April 2024). Her research focuses on play-based pedagogies in early childhood education, professional development for educators, and equity/social justice in education, particularly addressing mathematics aversion. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Early Childhood Education) from Macquarie University (2017), alongside master’s and bachelor’s degrees in the same field.
